Addiction Therapy
Our addiction and co-occurring services support individuals experiencing substance use concerns alongside mental health challenges. We recognize that substance use and mental health are often deeply connected and that meaningful recovery requires addressing both together--not separately. Treatment is individualized, collaborative, and grounded in respect. Both Harm Reduction and Abstinence Based models are used. Clients are not required to be abstinent to begin services. Instead, therapy meets clients where they are and supports harm reduction, recovery, and sustainable change in a way that aligns with the client's values. Care may include insight building, psycho-education, emotional regulation, relapse prevention, holistic care coordination, building supports, and finding meaningful life engagements. Ultimately, we have a desire for individuals to rebuild a sense of connection back to themselves and with others. Additionally, therapy services can be provided for loved ones of those struggling with addiction.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma-informed therapy is an approach to mental health care that recognizes how trauma can affect emotional well-being, relationships, and a person's sense of safety. Trauma can come from many experiences, including acute events, prolonged stress, or ongoing relational harm. This approach understands that symptoms are often adaptive responses to overwhelming experiences rather than personal failures. In trauma-informed therapy, sessions emphasize safety, trust, collaboration, and client choice. Our therapists will work at a pace that respects personal boundaries and assesses each client's readiness to explore various traumas in their life. Trauma-informed care does not require revisiting traumatic events unless a client chooses to do so. The goal is to support stability, empowerment, and long-term well-being in a way that feels respectful and grounding.
Spiritual Abuse Recovery
Spiritual abuse recovery therapy supports individuals who have experienced harm, control, shame, or coercion within religions or spiritual contexts. This may include experiences such as fear-based teachings, misuse of authority, manipulation, silencing, or being shamed or excluded for personal beliefs, identity, or life choices. We work to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to process these experiences and their impact on one's sense of spirituality, mental health, relationships, identity, and self-trust. Our approach is trauma-informed and client-centered, honoring each person's values, beliefs, and autonomy. Clients may work on reducing anxiety, grief, guilt, anger, or shame, rebuilding a sense of agency and developing healthy boundaries. This journey may also include navigating a new sense of spirituality.
